Athlos Academy’s Sugar Skull Contest
We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage and the creativity of our students by having a Sugar Skull decorating contest. In the Mexican Culture, each sugar skull represents a departed loved one and is usually placed on an altar. This celebration is similar to All Saints Day. Entry Fee $2.00
The categories are:
The Most Original Skull
The Scariest Skull
The Best Artistic Design
Rules for the contest:
- You can find the Skull at the dollar, craft stores, and Walmart. You may use paint, markers, paper, and accessories to decorate your Skull.
- The student should do decorating.
- All Skulls should be brought to school from October 17 – 21.
- Judging will be done on Friday, October 21, 2022
- Skulls may be claimed after school on Friday, October 21, 2022.
- Prizes will be awarded in all three categories in each grade level.

We are celebrating the Fall Festivities and the creativity of our students by having a pumpkin decorating contest. Entry Fee $2.0
The categories are:
The Most Original Pumpkin
The Scariest Pumpkin
The Best Artistic Design
Rules for the contest:
- Do not carve the pumpkin. You may use paint, markers, paper, felt, clothing, and accessories to decorate your pumpkin.
- The student should do decorating.
- All pumpkins should be brought to school from October 17 – 21.
- Judging will be done on Friday, October 21, 2022
- Pumpkins may be claimed after school on Friday, October 21, 2022.
- Prizes will be awarded in all three categories in each grade level.
