About Ms. Poche

Ann Poche received her bachelor’s degree at Nicholls State University and her master’s degree in education at Southeastern Louisiana University. Prior to joining the team at Athlos Academy, Poche taught special education at a variety of institutions, working with a wide range of students.

When asked about her best quality as a teacher she said, “I have a passion for teaching and try to have a good rapport with students. This impacts them by developing their trust and making them excited to learn.”

“The Athlos Performance Character traits that resonate most with me are leadership (making responsible decisions for students and motivating them), courage (being an advocate for students and standing up for what is right), and optimism (putting forth effort makes a better tomorrow).”

Q: What are three things about you most people don’t know?

  • I go by my middle name Michaelle, which is spelled differently.
  • I like to bake for people.
