Cheerleading - Fall 2021

Student have the opportunity to be involved in school athletics, academics and culture through cheer by being a crowd leader, spirit raiser and an ambassador for all athletic events. They will represent Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish in good character and as model students for events both inside and outside of school.

By promoting and spreading school pride throughout the year, these students will get to use their strength, endurance and skills as a cheerleader. They have an opportunity to serve as a pillar in academics, student support and community and school events.

Who can participate in intramural sports?

Intramural sports are open to students in 5th–8th grade.

Will we compete against other schools or travel?

At the moment we will only have an intramural program offered. Teams will be equally divided based on skills and a round-robin tournament will be held during the season.  

Will parents be allowed at practice?

Parents are a crucial part of the success of the AAJP Athletics Program. Your support will allow for the program to grow. If a parent or guardian is interested in watching practice, we ask that the parents stay on the concrete section of the pick-up line and watch. If practice is being held indoors, practice will be closed to parents due to Covid-19 restrictions.
