Looking for a kindergarten program with teachers that truly care about their students? Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish is now accepting K-8 enrollment applications for 2020-2021 for residents of Jefferson Parish and nearby areas.
We are a tuition free public charter school with an emphasis on three educational pillars: Prepared Mind, Healthy Body and Performance Character. Kindergarten is an essential building block of an excellent education and teachers at Athlos Academy make sure young students develop a love for learning early on.
Kindergarten teacher Shonta Francis says her students are engaged in the learning process and have positive experiences in the classroom.
“My favorite part of teaching kindergarten is seeing my students explore and engage in their own learning,” Francis said. “I love to see that sparkle in their eyes when they learn a new concept.”
Francis said the Athlos model “truly builds up the whole child.” She said incorporating Athlos’ Performance Character traits like Social Intelligence and Focus/Self-control help develop well-rounded students that are prepared for life.
