Performance Character is the foundation of school culture at Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish. Two of the traits that we strive to help students develop are social intelligence and humility, and we will be using the holiday season to give back to our community and those in need as part of that trait development.
November 1st through November 16th we will be partnering with Second Harvest of New Orleans on the First Annual AAJP Food and Fund Drive.
According to the Second Harvest website, a can of food equals one pound and $1 can provide four meals. Therefore, our goal as a school is 2,500 pounds of food.
To help achieve this goal, we are having a competition between classes. The first class to reach 250 pounds of donated food first will win a pizza party on November 30th. The second class to reach 250 pounds of donated food will receive a popcorn party.
