Open Enrollment
- The open enrollment period for the 2026–2027 school year will open December 19, 2025.
- For the best chance of enrollment, submit your student’s application before the enrollment period ends on February 4, 2026.
- If you submit your application after the enrollment period ends, your student will be offered a seat on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Who Can Enroll?
- Enrollment is open to new students entering grades K–8 living in Jefferson Parish and the surrounding communities.
Lottery Information
- If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held at the school board meeting on February 4, 2026.
- We will begin sending lottery notifications to families shortly after the lottery takes place. You will either receive an offer letter or a notification of wait list. Watch your email closely so you do not miss a notification.
What is a lottery?
If a charter school receives more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held.
A common misconception about the “lottery” is that it’s a completely random selection process like a raffle wheel, when it’s actually a complex decision tree that filters student applications through a series of preferences according to state laws and school policy.
Examples of enrollment preferences include whether the student has an enrolled sibling at the school or the student is the child of a full-time staff member at the school. Preferences can play a major role in whether a student receives an offer, but they do not guarantee a seat.
