School Updates March 25, 2020

Dear Athlos families,

Please see the updates to staffing at the school, meal distribution details, packet pickup, and recorded videos for distance learning.

Staffing at the School

Due to the governor’s essential personnel mandate, individuals in Louisiana are to stay home unless acquiring essential services. At this time, meal distribution is the only essential service taking place at our school. However, you may still reach school staff between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday through the school’s main line (504) 290-2510.

Meal Distribution Changes

We will be making changes to meal distribution at our school beginning on Thursday, March 26.

On Wednesday, March 25, meals will be distributed as normal, with breakfast and lunch available for pickup at the school between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon.

On Thursday, March 26, anyone who comes to pick up meals will receive meals for Thursday and Friday (2 breakfasts/2 lunches). There will be no meal distribution at the school on Friday, March 27.

Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 we will distribute meals on Mondays and Wednesdays only from 9 a.m. to noon.

On Mondays, we will distribute Monday’s meals as well as Tuesday’s meals (2 breakfasts/2 lunches).

On Wednesday, we will distribute Wednesday’s meals, Thursday’s meals, and Friday’s meals (3 breakfasts/3 lunches)

We will continue this multi-day meal distribution process until otherwise directed.

Packet Pickup

For those without access to technology, packet pick up is available during meal distribution at the school through Driveline. Please do not exit your vehicle when picking up packets, a staff member will bring them to you. Packets are due when school re-opens.

Distance Learning Reminder

We are delivering distance learning to students during our closure. All lessons can be accessed through the live link found at:

This link is updated with lessons and recorded videos. We will not be sending separate emails with lesson information. Everything you will need can be found at this link.

Please contact the school with any questions.
