We are excited to announce the launch of our Spring 2021 S.T.E.A.M. Academy at Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish! S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. For 3 Saturdays in April our AAJP teachers will lead our students in innovative projects that will expand their capacities and natural ability.
Students will work on projects ranging from circuitry to building models of the heart and lungs that they can take home with them weekly.
The Spring 2021 S.T.E.A.M Academy is open to all students in grades 3–8 at no cost. Participants in grades 7 and 8 will be eligible for a field trip to visit the College of Engineering at Southern University in Baton Rouge in May. Because there is limited space, we encourage students to have their homeroom teacher fill out the application form as soon as possible.
- The application window will close on April 1, 2021.
- Acceptance letters will be sent shortly after applying.
- The program will operate from 10 am to 1:45 pm on April 10, 17, and 24.
Lunch and Transportation will be provided for all participants at no cost.

- 10:10–11:10 AM: Academic Enrichment
- 11:20 AM–12:35 PM: STEM Kit
- 12:40–1:15 PM: Art Activity
- 1:15–1:45 PM: Lunch/Dismissal
