About La'Sheika Weatherspoon
La’Sheika Weatherspoon graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University located in Hammond, Louisiana, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education grades one through five and a certification in ESL. She believes that her best quality as a teacher is empathy. La’Sheika says she has had students dealing with more than she could imagine outside of the classroom and said, “I like that I can put myself in student’s shoes and help them feel understood.”
La’Sheika’s favorite quote is from Scott Hayden, “Teachers have three loves: love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together.”
