On September 28, 2021, the Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish governing board approved the updated official school calendar for the 2021–22 school year. The rationale for the calendar was based on the feedback from surveys, this option being the least disruptive to the previous calendar, and provides for more instructional time before our end of the year LEAP Testing window closes.
Due to ongoing construction, we will have to continue virtual learning. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause for families. We will provide another update next week.
For parents who need packets, pick up will be Friday, October 1 and Monday, October 4 at the school from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Distance Learning will begin September 20. Technology pick-up will continue on Monday, September 20 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m and by appointment after Monday. Distance Learning will begin September 20. Technology pick up will be at the school on September 16 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Parents and families are invited to a virtual Town Hall for Distance Learning on September 16 at 5:00 p.m. There are two Town Hall meetings: one for grades K-4 and one for grades 5-8.
Athlos Academy is recommending updates to the uniform policy. Parents must be notified 60 days prior to the new policy being enforced. This serves as the 60 day notification, meaning that the policy will be implemented Monday, October 25. The four main updates are highlighted below, with both the old and new language on the policy.
