About Alisha Morris
Alisha Morris attended the University of New Orleans, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History. She has been teaching for over nine years and is certified to teach Social Studies for grades 5–9 and 6–12, as well as K–12 Library Media. In addition, she holds certifications as a Reading Specialist and in ESOL.
Her teaching career has taken her around the world, from Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, to Lake Wales, Florida, before returning to her home community. Alisha’s top goal as an educator is to inspire a love of history in her students.
Her greatest strength is the passion she brings for the subject she teaches. Each year, she looks forward to teaching in the community where she lives and the city she loves.

Curiosity is my favorite Performance Character trait. There is always something new to learn, even if it is a hobby or a fun fact.
Fun Facts about Alisha Morris
- I lived in China for three years.
- I bought my cat back from China with me.
- I used to teach so close to Walt Disney World, I would sometimes go after work to just get a walk in.
