After School Sports

Two Distinct Groups:

We are now offering sports programming for all grade levels. They are separated into two distinct groups: Tiny Tritons and Triton Sports. Each group has its own schedule and assigned sports that they are permitted to play.

It is important to us that our smallest students are included in sports programs school-wide. Future considerations for Tiny Tritons and Tritons Sports expansions will depend wholly on registration numbers and earnest participation rates.

The sports seasons at Athlos Jefferson Parish may look a little different than traditional programs. Athlos Academy offers an athletic experience where all are welcome to participate, and the goal remains to develop active, fit, and efficient movers.

  • The beginning weeks of each season will be dedicated to skill development where the goal of our coaches is to first develop a base layer of skill for every participant before transitioning into small-sided competition.
  • Coaches will assemble teams based on skill level so that every student’s experience is created with their personal development in mind.
  • Each sports season will last approximately nine weeks depending on the school calendar.

Uniforms:

The Triton Sports registration fee goes towards the cost of each student will receive a dry-fit t-shirt tailored to their sport and custom Triton Sports paraphernalia to use during sports and at school. The high-quality t-shirt also doubles as a school uniform!

There will be no shipping costs and t-shirts will be delivered to your student’s homeroom the day after purchase. We will also have Triton Sports pop-up shops with various limited-edition merchandise available for purchase during select sporting events.

Player Eligibility:

Triton Sports – Athlos Academy of Jefferson Parish believes that sportsmanship is a core value and its promotion and practice are essential. Students must ensure that their teams promote the development of good character. This code of conduct applies to all student participants involved in interscholastic activities.

  4. Students will promote fair play and uphold the spirit of the rules in the activity.

Behavioral Code of Conduct:

Being a student-athlete/extra-curricular participant means showing good conduct during the school day and during practice or an event. Consequences are not scheduled around extra-curricular activities and cannot be rescheduled. On the day a student serves a suspension (in or out of school), the student will lose the privilege of all evening activities (game, match, practice, school dance, etc.).
