About Danielle Clay

Danielle Clay attended the University of New Orleans, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts, and the University of Phoenix, where she completed a Master of Arts in Education. She is certified as a music teacher, elementary teacher, and educational leader, and has served in education for 23 years.

Before becoming a classroom teacher, Danielle taught music for 15 years, a role that allowed her the privilege of teaching every student in the school and getting to know each one by name. She has worked in both St. Charles and Jefferson Parish Public School Systems in the elementary school setting and has also taken on leadership roles throughout her career.

Her top goal as an educator is to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, is presented with the opportunity to learn. She is passionate about inspiring and motivating others to strive for and achieve more. Danielle’s greatest strength is empathy—she works to understand the challenges her students, their families, and her colleagues face as they navigate life. Each year, she looks forward to connecting with the school community and building relationships. She was drawn to Athlos by the opportunity to serve in leadership and help shape a supportive environment for learning and growth.

Favorite Performance Character Trait:

 CREATIVITY

My favorite Performance Character trait is Creativity. Everyday presents opportunity to be creative, to think outside of the box. Sometimes the box is not the appropriate structure for what we are trying to achieve. So we must get the creative juices flowing to make something more suitable.
