Joshua Allen-Akeem

Joshua Allen Akeem-Nevels studied at Tulane University, Post University, Grand Canyon University, and the California School of Law. He earned an Associate degree in Legal Studies, a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Legal Studies, and a Master’s in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.

Before entering education, Joshua worked with various legal agencies in New Orleans, where he discovered a passion for helping others. He transitioned into teaching to shape the next generation, spending four years in education—two as a Dean of Culture and two as a classroom teacher—before joining Athlos Academy.

Joshua’s greatest strength as an educator is his dedication to students’ growth. He strives to instill the belief: “We Can, We Will, and We Must Succeed” and emphasizes that success comes from dedication, hard work, and commitment. He is passionate about building a strong culture for students, inspiring them to see education as a lifelong tool that can empower them to achieve their goals. Joshua also encourages parents to remember that “each day of your lives, you make deposits in the memory banks of your children.”
