Syed Tahir

Syed Tahir, also known as Ammad, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan. An accomplished visual artist, Ammad has held solo exhibitions at the Goethe-Institut in Karachi and NOMAD in New Orleans, and has participated in numerous group shows both locally and internationally.

He has taught at various art and design institutes in Karachi, bringing a wealth of experience and creativity to the classroom. In 2016, he was honored to be nominated as faculty-in-residence at Kennesaw State University through the Scholar’s Exchange Program.

As an educator, Ammad’s top goal is to help students become proficient and achieve academic excellence in art and design. He is especially skilled at improvising lessons to meet students’ unique needs while fostering critical thinking and creative expression. Each year, he looks forward to the moment when students begin asking thoughtful, intelligent questions—a sign that curiosity and deeper understanding are taking root.
